Tankfest
Tankfest is the world's
biggest display of armour in action and this is The Tank Museum's
official DVD of the event. Uniquely, this documentary takes you
behind the scenes to meet drivers and crew as they prepare for the
show and talk about the challenges of driving these historic machines.
Special features include new footage of the only Tiger 1 still running
in the world; the Panzer III; the pre-war Vickers Medium and the
Swedish Stridsvagn M40. All the main tanks used by the British Armed
Forces in World War 2 are featured - Matilda, Churchill, Valentine,

The story of the restoration
of the only operational Tiger tank anywhere in the world. This DVD
tracks the final months of the project as engineers race against
time to restore the tank's 60-year-old Maybach engine to running
order for Bovington Museum's Tankfest show. The DVD also contains
fascinating historical insight into the development of the Tiger
and its impact on the battlefield. Also unique WW2 footage of Tigers
in action plus interviews with veterans who fought against them.
